A 4BT is just 2 cyl shorter than a 6bt but otherwise the same. The 6BT is physically too long to fit into a FFPW's engine compartment & so a doghouse needs to be created in order to bring the rear cylinder basically into the cab of your truck.
If a 4BT is used, it's 2 cylinders shorter so it's not necessary to creat the doghouse...just move the engine & transmission forwards to clear the firewall.
There's been a few 6bt's done, several different ideas floated from lifting the body to even stretching the hood & fenders but realistically, creating a doghouse is the only way I can see it done while maintaining the classic exterior.
The 4BT is just a way better fit for these trucks & way more power than you'd ever need, in my opinion. I mean a 4bt with the inline IP & minimal upgrades will put out more power than a stock 6bt without even breaking a sweat.
