You might try retorqueing the head. But, unless it's loose, retorqueing is probably not going to help.
You probably have problems other than a head gasket.
Even though it's a flathead, how much money do you save reusing the head gasket compared to the time and effort of taking the head on and off?
If the head gasket was the problem, you need a new head gasket. If not, you have to fix the other problem(s) anyway.
