Sleeves will repair the yoke better than new. On deep grooves, the manufacturer recommends filling the groove with metal bearing epoxy before installing the sleeve. I've not had good luck getting the epoxy to stay in the groove. I guess it depends on the particular product and its consistency.

Or, I guess, you could put in the epoxy as best as you can,let it set, then sand off the excess. Maybe, someone here has suggestions how to do it.

You should also apply a little sealant before pushing the sleeve on.
