I've been a custom home builder most of my 70 years. I just happen to like Power Wagons and other well built 4 wheel drives. I don't presume to know a fraction of what you or others here know about mechanics. I have a friend who is a professional mechanic who I have do the things I don't know how to do or don't want to try to do. So the 12 volt conversion was a valuable change for me to make on my truck, especially living in North Idaho. One thing I don't have to worry about now is how to deal with jumping between positive and negative ground systems. Maybe it's the "easy" way out, but it's the way I like it. :)
