1979 Dodge W400 - 360 4bbl, NP435 4 speed manual transmission, NP203 t-case (still full-time with front drive flanges), dana 60 front axle, dana 70b rear axle (4.88 gears). Rear axle has a great working Powr-Lock posi. 4x4 works awesome! Interior is rough/dirty with a torn-up seat- dash is cracked and sun rotted under the dash mat. Gauges/ heater/ lights/ wipers all work as they should. Odometer reads 59k miles- unknown if original. Color under hood and inside cab makes me think it was probably a fire/brush truck. Truck has dual tanks (factory behind rear axle, added saddle tank outside frame on drivers’ side), only the added tank is hooked up and working (gauge works, too).

Overall the body is pretty straight. There is some cab rust, most notably multiple small pinholes in the floorboards (which someone apparently decided to skim over with some sort of gray filler or epoxy) and some unusual rust spots (including pinholes) over the passenger door and windshield (I‘d guess due to leaky clearance lights).

Recent work to the truck includes a new heavy-duty interstate battery, plugs, timing adjusted, voltage regulator, fuel filter, drive train fluids checked/topped off, engine oil changed, and carb (thermoquad) rebuild. Runs, drives, and stops good- smokes a bit on start-up, but it has been sitting a while. Clear title, expired tags.

Tires are mis-matched 235/85/16's, but all are load range E and in decent shape with minor weather checking here and there and decent tread. Bed is 9 1/2' long and 7' 8.5" wide (could stand a couple boards replaced), with stake pockets around the entire outside- headache rack doubles as a roll bar and is solidly bolted to the frame.

Perfect for a farm truck/ firewood hauler- the truck is also equipped with a working 7-way trailer plug, trailer brake controller, and heavy duty 2" receiver hitch. Have original owner’s manuals, too.

Purchased to do a Cummins conversion, but decided to go a different route. Have a ’90 Cummins 6bt (engine only) available for an additional $1300. Asking price for truck as-pictured is $2700 obo. Located 45 min. south of Portland, OR. Call Rob at (503) 980-8797, or email to powerwagoncrazy@msn.com for more info. Thanks!"
