Iit just depends which inspector you get and how knowledgable they are. Stay away from law enforcement officers on the auto theft detail. Try to get a female clerk, nicely dressed, at Automobile Club.

One of my trucks has been registered in both Nevada and California using the production number since all the VIN numbers are gone.
