Been to events at AP a few times, but it's been awhile. Worth the visit but much more fun when there's a swap meet or show. Took my 1300C IHC there for a binder gathering and camped out on the grounds. I really like the steam-powered sawmill.
If you're going through the Columbia Gorge, the WAAM museum in hood river is a kick. 2nd Saturday of the month they usually have some vehicles or planes out and going.
