Usually it's just a matter of jumping thru the hoops. You may have to get a special title that will have restrictions on it. My WDX came to me from Calif. with no title. I had only a bill of sale. Enough paper work and I got a title that allows for any previous owner to claim it if they can prove it was stolen. It lasts for two years, if I remember right. The time is almost up. Just go for it, and get it. It's the best way. Then it's clean if you ever want to do something with it, like sell it.
