I have used bias tubes in Michelin 11.00 x 16s. the way to get them to last running highway and changing the PSI for snow and offroad is use large amounts of baby powder or the talc powder the tire shops have on installation. the tubes will split if you dont. the radial sidewalls flex alot and where weak spots in the sidewall of the tube. the powder acts like a lubricant.
