California DMV Does It Right

The California DMV has a poor reputation for service given the huge population here, budget cut backs and the, sometimes, inefficient government employees. So, when I had to call DMV to check on a license plate number, I expected an endless wait on the phone and maybe a hangup or two.

Instead, when I called DMV, an automated system took my information and gave me an estimated time that a clerk would call back. Surprise, within 30 minutes the system called me back then connected me with a DMV clerk. Nice. Thanks Ca. DMV
