I set the 318 in the 6x6 chassis today to see how everything fit before I make the rear engine mounts. The engine angle matches the transfer case, and the angle on the intermediate shaft is nice and shallow. There don't appear to be any clearance issues with the fan and distributor, about 3/4" on both ends. The brake pedal just clears the starter, but the bellhousing needs a little trimming for the pedal arm to clear. The front wishbone mount sits half way over the radiator mount, but I think I have a way to make it work. Now to make the rear mounts and get this engine installed.
