The side "angle strips" where the bed meets the bed sides are from Mar K and are a copy of the original for my year truck - '52. They are plain steel that I painted the same as the bed sides.
The "center bed strips" are stainless, but stock would have been plain steel. Also from Mar-K
IN my research for my truck, the "2nd series" actually encompasses two varieties. The early 2nd series like "51, 52 and maybe early 53, and second the later 53, 54, 55. These two are different. The early ones like mine are basically like the 1st series trucks as far as the bed goes: 5 wide boards, a sender access opening covered by a steel plate, and the 1st series style center hinge. The later 2nd series have more narrower boards, no access plate and a different style center hinge. The only thing consistent in the 2nd series is the bed side design, which I think is the "nicest" of all the PW's.
