Here is the Kohler 14hp a friend and I just rebuilt. It is a 40 year old engine and this may have been it's first rebuild. Had a stock piston and we had it bored 20 over. We removed the weird balance gears inside and it is running fine. Still under 5 hours and a first oil change. Also have a 12hp one that has been going around here for 15 years. The old tech info might not me of much help, but fun anyhow.
