Hey Clint. I think you are dating yourself with that line. Best of my knowledge about the plumbing trade, and watching some of the old timers perform that procedure, your talking about packing cast iron soil pipe fittings.
If you are familiar with that line of work you could probably sweat a joint on a lead pipe too.
