From what i hear that swap is very difficult with lots of fabricating. I was really wanting to do the same thing you are doing on one of my parts trucks since many of the pieces are missing. As you'll find most of the guys on here don't endorse the idea of a V8 repower, mostly because the truck doesn't have the safety features like a collapsable steering column. Lots of people have done them, but the guys on hear who know way more than me say that it wasn't worth the money sweat and time. I don't want to be a pessimist so i say if its your dream truck than go for it. I will do the same thing one day but I'm going to pay to have it professionally done so that I know its right. Have fun with that engine compartment though may get a little snug. I put a 350 chevy in my 1947 Willies Jeep. Ive never busted so many knuckles trying to cram it in there. :)
