Cameron, It is true that old radials do have a life span, and independent tests show this is the truth. Whether it is 6 years, or 12, I would not want to take an old one up to speed for too many hours.
The Chinese are nothing if not smart. They already make most of the tires we buy for our passenger cars, and now they will be bringing a 9x16 onto the market.
Since there is nothing on the market here that has this aggressive tread, I may have to fold, and go Chinese again (Though I have vowed to avoid their products--the stuff is good, but it's where all the American jobs went).
