Especially when you compare them to some of the used 2nd series beds I've seen sell for $2,000 over the years. Unless you are super lucky and find a cherry used bed or you have unlimited time and a world class ability to straighten sheet metal, Matt's bedsides are the best option I've seen to getting a nice bed on a truck.

The general rough condition of the bedsides you can find on trucks and the primium that a bed seems to add to the purchase price of a Power Wagon makes me wonder if the thing to do now to get a nice restored truck is buy the nicest cab and chassis that you can find and add a new bed. Why pay a premium for something you are going to replace anyway?
