Morning Robert. No I have not heard of that. It would be nice to get the rest of the story. Why one dealer says one thing and the other is going to replace the block? Doesnt make sense. Lifters can tap and I have seen broken valve springs but that makes it miss. Are they going to replace the engine? Your friend needs to ask more questions. But if they are going to fix it for free I guess thats a good thing. Tell your buddy that he should ask the dealer to see the old part that they replace. How many days will the repair take?
