I remember back probably 60 years ago, I was a tiny kid. I was on a vacation trip in northern Maine with my Mom, My uncle and his family. My uncle was a ship captain and made big bucks back in the day. He collected silver dollars among other things. One night we stopped at a small place where the owner rented cabins for the night. My uncle loved to talk and got into a conversation with the owner. Somehow, his interest in silver dollars came up. The owner said he had
$750 in silver dollars and wanted to sell them. I was there listening and my uncle offered him $1.50 cash for each silver dollar. I still remember my uncle counting out his money to buy them. And I still remember how large the piles of silver dollars were and how heavy they were.

Its strange how something like that sticks out vivid in one memory after so many years have past. And I now wonder if there were any really valuable ones in the stacks I saw sitting on the table. When he passed away, years later, my cousin sold his coin collection.

Yupper, cabin fever is here also. But the days are getting longer. There is some daylight yet at 5:30pm. We survived the winter LOL
