was it marine grease? the blue stuff? that stuff does not work on wheel bearings. when water gets in the hub the grease will not mix with water at all so the water finds a nice palce to displace all the grease. the bearing! so bearing comletly become free of grease adn fails. I used to work in brake biz adn you see it on 4x4s and boat trailers where owners used the marine grease. I use Sta-lube Heavy duty drum brake grease.
