Found a couple videos of the Small Emplacement Excavator in action. None showed it actually loading itself, but it looks like it probably could.
From the comments of soldiers who actually worked with these machines, it sounds like this is not the greatest machine. Probably keep some construction guy broke if he tried to use it everyday.
Another one of those failed Unimog/Power Wagon attempts to make a vehicle that does everything, but turns out to do nothing well.
