The nut should also have a couple spurs, for the hand crank. If yours does not, somebody here will sell you one. It's one of the down-on-the-farm features.

Easiest way to unscrew the nut is with an impact gun. Next easiest is to hook on the big socket,and a breaker bar, brace it against the drivers side frame, and crank the starter. All safety rules to apply. ;)
