I've been down that road before. I thought I had found my dream truck when I first got into this years ago. Truck was in Florida and listing said, Rust free and straight. Asked if their was any Bondo or body work done and they saID NO. Then asked for some pictures and they sent them to me. Fuzzy pics at best and had some questions about their description

I asked again if their was any rust and they said none at all. Ended up driving to Florida and met the drunk owner with a truck that was not as described. Visible Bondo and fender had rust through.

Upset as you can imagine and asked him about the rust and why he said there was none. His reply? "What did you expect with a 50 year old truck."

My reason for relating this is to do EVERYTHING you can to view the truck BEFORE going to see it. Pay for a roll of film or what works best for me is to do a video.

I bought a truck from guy who did a walk around video of it. Hard to hide the flaws and you know what you are getting into. I also sold a truck the same way. I offered if they sent a VHS tape(yea, a while ago) I do a couple of walk arounds with close ups so they really could see it before driving a long distance.

First guy that sent a me one came and was happy with it.

From your pics looks like you can handle most anything but completeness and sheetmetal are the keys as others have said.

If your looking to keep it the lower prices on these trucks, compared to anything else, is a plus. If your looking to flip it, the resale is just generally a lot lower.

The survival rate of these things vs price amazes me. Take a vehicle with less than several thousand made for the year that was used/beat in it's life off road vs a car with 100's of thousands made that was just driven on the street and the car brings more?

Drives home that everyone is just not into them I guess. Greta for us who are, Bad for the flippers.
