No the antena mounts above the tool box door higher up on the bed. I see your truck had the door mounted spare tire. I never had one of those but could the bracket be part of that mechanism? That other bracket is a new one on me. Is it possible that sometime in it's life your truck was owned by a fire department. Many of them were(2 of my 3 were). They deleted and added stuff to suit thier needs. I guess I'm no help.KH
