If a Spotted Owl is found on private property, you can and will have restrictions placed on what you can do with your own land. No logging to start and other draconian measures. To make matters worse, the tree huggers trespass with video cameras to document the owls (they also are doing this in scenic areas to inventory your buildings so they can make future comparisons and take you to court.)
Well, anyway, folks here have had enough. When a Spotted Owl is found on their land, it gets the 3 S's treatment.
Shoot it.
Shovel it.
Shut up about it.
