That not only does the oil help cool the piece being cut in the machine but also slows rusting that would occur when cutting a large piece that might take a couple days to complete and actually helps the cutting prosess. Inside a radiator,it might help prevent the the same thing anti- freeze helps prevent ,the leaching ,desolving,or rotting away of the inner radiator metal by hot water. The more saturated a liquid is, the less it can leach and absorb from its surroundings.
