Hi Charlie,
Speculation about anything without the facts, especially this, is not really appropriate at this time. An observation is not speculation but purhaps Russ had his reasons. For the record there are many antedotal recounts of people losing control on icy roads while using lockers. Everyones driving ability is different and that should taken into account when investing in lockers. If $600 is good for a Detroit, then $650 for an ARB is better, that was my point. I run locked both front and rear, but I would/could only do that with an ARB, not a Detroit or any other type of locker. Until computerized traction control becomes affordable and practicle the ARB is the way to go. I do not knock lockers or the locker concept, only the cheap corner cutting limited slips or clutched spools that pass themselves off as lockers. If you're on a budget then save a little longer until you can afford the real deal.
