Diesel question

I know there are individuals on this forum who own Cummins powered trucks and others who own Fords with diesels.

Am I correct the Cummins trucks are getting significantly better mileage per gallon of fuel? Am I correct the Cummins engine is considered to have a longer service life than the IH used in the Ford?

Dodge does not offer a crewcab, which is upsetting. I would really like a crewcab. Dodge does not offer lockout hubs. But Dodge seems to have the engine....

What are your thoughts on all this? What are your thoughts in comparing the two trucks in terms of frame material dimensions?
