My B1PW has a 218 ci engine, and it keeps up with all the other PW's on trail rides, on the highway and etc. My old 230 was pretty tired when I did the swap, and the new 218 had a fresh rebuild by Steve Wataha, so I actually felt an increase in power by going to the 218. That was almost 15 years ago, and the 218 is still pulling strong. On an equal basis, the 230 should have a small edge over the 218 simply from larger displacement.
