The picture is of a NP 540 series trans, the original 435 had the same large yoke, but I don't know if the rear housing is different than on a 200, or if the trans that came out is considered a long shaft. If you're interested, I'll be going to my storage locker this week and I can take a picture of the 435. As for the hump, my guess is you should have room. That D500 shaft will probably work as well if you don't want to spring for a new one.
