Never said I would not buy a new truck.

But I won't buy a new truck until they make one the way I want it. And at the rate they are going, it looks like that might be a while.

The sheetmetal is getting thinner, which means more dents and dings, or even serious damage a PW/M37 would shrug off.

More plastic in them - everywhere. Plastic has a habit of not holding up over the long run. Look at all the cars made in the 1970's and even the 80's with cracked and faded plastic.

Customers seem to prefer a solid front axle, not the independant comfort axle crap that appeals to those who primarily need a huge truck to drive to their underground parking lot at their law firm or to fetch groceries.

And then there's the expense. $40,000 for a new truck is outrageous. You could put HALF of that into the M37 you belittle and have the worlds best truck. One that could haul your trailer w/PW on it at 70 mph.

Give me a DIY truck any day of the week.
