The later WC 53s came with a 9 5/8 differential in the rear and a smaller diff. in the front. I have a LocRite in the rear. The smaller diffs. came with several different carriers. If I remember correctly, the early ones had 2 holes in the carrier and the latest ones had 4 holes. I have the later one in my front differential. I have often wondered if a LocRite would fit in the 4 hole version. I did not do any measurements on mine when I had it apart. Dodge was apparently trying to strengthen the differential throught the different versions then finally settled on the 9 5/8 diff. to get the strength they wanted.
