From what I read in Truck Trend Magazine, May/June 2001 issue, the new 2002 1500 4x4 will now have independent front suspension, more well known as inferior front suspension,
and convert to rack-and pinion steering. The frame will get hydro-forming for stiffening. Windshield gets more rake, and quad cab is 4 full doors with a "B" post...bed looses 3inches. The 2500/3500 trucks will not change from the solid front axle. Style changes expected for 2003/2004 on the big boys. 3.9 v6 is gone replaced with the 3.7v6; and 5.2v8 replaced by 4.7v8 both used in Jeeps. 1500's also go to 17 wheels.
