There's a better photo of the Dodge panel at the link below. The archives date these photos circa 1936-1939. The Dodge is obviously post-war.
Ab Jenkins was setting record in the late 30's. I know he set a 24-hr speed record of 101 in an 812 Cord in 1937. Cord had already shut down their production, but continued to support the speed records. I suppose they figured they would go out of business with a bang.
He also set a speed record on an Allis Chalmers tractor at over 60 mph, which might be my favorite LSR trivia.
