Resuscitating the Diamond T 201 we found in Missouri is going well. New brakes are almost done, the gas tank has been cleaned out, the electircal system is next.

Learning to appreciate these rare pickups spurred me to inquire about a 201 I spotted on a recent roadtrip out west. I liked the story, so I bought that one, too. The truck had two owners between 1947 and 2012. It still wears its 1964 license plates. It was original to Salt Lake City and then retired to a ranch in a remote southern desert town.

The Diamond T dealership in Salt Lake was owned by the same guy who owned the Auburn Cord Duesenberg dealership. So, they used some of their trucks to help out on the Flats. Mormon Meteor driver, Ab Jenkins was a promoter for Auburn, Cord, and Duesenberg.
