Couple things about those rack driven blasting boxes I'll mention.
First, carefully inspect the lashing & varnish on the coils, especially the rotating coil. I've seen a few where that went bad and the coils whip out and jam the mechanism. That means rewind, and that ain't fun.
Second is the magnets do loose force over time and need recharging. They can be recharged easily using the same device made to recharge phone and hit & miss engine magnetos.
Third, only a damn fool hangs onto the terminals while somebody pushes the plunger.
