Seems the guys are just being nice, have plenty of funds and time cause it isn't cheap and the work goes slow waiting on funds or parts. The older the PW the harder the parts are to find.
Like Paul said start on the safety issues first unless you plan on a frame off restoration.
I am into year 3 on my 66 WM300 and only 50% complete.
