Plan where you might need to anchor things. like a lift. Then pour a 2 foot by 2 foot by 1 foot deep (or whatever is required) footing for each leg or a lift, whether you initially plan to install one or not.

Mark the location of the footing and take pictures to show the footings in case you ever need to prove you have the footings necessary to support a lift.

Also put in twice as many electric outlets as you think you will need. Plumb for compressed air before you close the walls.

A bathroom is a necessity in a big building, but I always dreamed of having a shop with a shower and changing area.
