A friend I grew up with informed me via facebook that he knew a guy who knew a guy who knew a guy etc etc that was cleaning up his property and that there was an old dodge there and he was wondering if anyone knew anyone that wanted parts from it. Through a chain of forwarded cell phone pictures I laid eyes on it and made plans to go save whatever parts I could from this vehicle and just told the folks not to move the truck from where it sat. I took the trailer with me just incase and after fording a creek on a Va state route, using 4wd shagging my gooseneck down a red-clay abandoned logging road, I was able to winch this complete vehicle onto my trailer and save it from being "recycled". Once the guy realized that I wanted the whole thing the price imediately went up because he had me there and he knew I wanted it. So I did pay dearly for it and I already have a WC53 I am working on so I figure I was just saving this one so the right person can come along and restore it and enjoy it!
