ethanol gas& my m37

What do I have to worry about running 10% ethanol in my m37? The engine is a rebuilt Chevy 350 short block but the hoses, filters, fuel pump, etc were installed where there is access to leaded gas. Would it be better to run higher or lower octane ethanol/gas? I thought running higher octane would be more like running leaded gas, but the more I read, the more confused I get. I have neither the time nor the technical ability to wash the
ethanol out of my gas, nor do I have access to av fuel.
