Cool picture. I bet Henry Ford had something to do with that. He was big on supporting farmers. He even made a prototype of a car with plastic body panels made from soybeans. Back then, nobody knew how much oil there would be, and he was figuring on having to have cars run on something other than petroleum before long. I wouldn't be surprised if the model As and Model Ts would run on straight alcohol. I know they'd run on a 50/50 mix of alcohol and kerosene because I've heard old timers tell of doing that when kerosene was cheaper than gas.
