I'm with you on repro parts, so much junk is coming from China.
However if you go to VPW parts page, to the winch section, they list NOS shifter forks, and NOS cable brake bracket, as well as some other components needed to put the assembly together. You will have to buy a couple of items that may be imported, but the main stuff that matters is currently available in NOS.
Call Dave at VPW and let him know what your concerns are about getting as much original as you can.
