You migth be getting fluid throughm, but the opistons may beg unkind in place. The 1,000 psi odf the system can pusht them out, buit the 60 pounds of spring pressure migth not retract them. Result will be shoea stuck against the drums, causing overheat and bad power. On my project 40 years go, I made it 60 miles, then had to turn around due to low power on the hills. Half way back I threw a rod through everything- block, cam and dist.
So, test drive a few miles, and feel the hubs for hotness. If the shoes are stuck, you will have a bear trying to get the drums off.
