If you mean a PTO on each side of the tranny, the passenger side PTO would conflict with the transfer case shifting rods and handles, as well as the emergency brake rod and handle. The stock PTO is both front and rear. The 55 truck would take an "After Type" PTO, for the later style crashbox tranny.
