You use the epoxy primer to get adhesion to the bare metal. Spray with epoxy primer. Do your filler work. Use Rage Extreme Gold filler as its a plastic filler nad wont suck up moisture the re epoxy prime entire care.........then you can spray on your regular primer and sand making sure everything is ready. Then lay down your primer/sealer and then go to paint.........Epoxy primer is its own thing and the primer/primer sealant is the same stuff mixed different.
All paints are porous to some extent. Thats why you use wax on your vehicles paint to help protect from water.
