Use the blade to dress your welds . Get a vixen file and use that to flatten and shape the top of the rod you welded in place . you could lead the thing but personally i would blow the body in epoxy and fill and shape the weld with a top quality filler . Filler with talc in it is not top quality . Allmetal or something similar is what i consider a decent filler . hard to work , clogs paper , does not absorb water and it feathers out very well .
