I agree. We do need to be able to protect ourselves from the goverment. As said earlier in this forum, what happened to all of the unarmed people in poland, germany, cambodia, china, the phillipenes, on and on it goes? When asked about invading America during WWII a Japanese Admiral said that it would be a bad idea because there would be a gun behind every tree. This event is beyond sad. But, how many civilians (men women and children) did goverments kill during WWII? We live in a FREE country and we have the right to bear arms. If just one person at that school had a carry permit many lives would have been saved.
