At least no Walmart I ever went to did. And of course no one under 21 can buy a handgun even at a pawn shop.
That said, something like 100 American children are killed every year playing in their driveways, 2500 are killed in car wrecks, 25 are killed by school buses, and around 1300 are murdered by their parents. A crazy man with a gun is real bad news, but even in America, it's nowhere near the biggest danger children face.
