There was mention in one post about lack of security in schools. I have to state that as a teacher in an elementary school we as teachers try. I have had many parents blow up at me and cuss me when I ask them to please not try to drop their kids off in the bus lane. Also I get yelled at alot for saying something to people running bus STOP lights. I have had Parent's get mad because I confront them when they enter the playground at recess and I ask them who they are and have they went to check in at the office. I really dont know what the answer to a tragedy like this is but it could happen anywhere, make no mistake about that. I hope at least in some small way it makes people understand why they may have to suffer some of the minor inconvenences they may incounter when going past or picking up childern from a public school. I have a long list of STUPID things that I have seen happen in the school system in my 20 years of teaching both on the part of teachers, but mostly by parents and the general public. This is my worst fear of happening at my school. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the people who were killed
