The problem with an angled drag link is bump-steer. When you compress that corner of the truck, the distance between the balls gets closer together, forcing the truck to veer left at a bump. Past the bump when the ruck bounces past normal height, it steers rigth momentarily. Kind of wanders down the road.
Not sure if it is important in a trail truck.
